DIAMOND RESIDENCE
Arcata, CA
A new single-family residence situated in the forested hills of Arcata. The site has a very small buildable area, which required a two-story plan. The house is tucked into a steep site to allow for the residence to be ADA accessible from the upper level. The building is designed to have views out over the wooded property, while limiting the visibility to the adjacent property directly to the south.
The house is designed with a modern aesthetic utilizing shed roofs and a simple footprint. The facade combined aluminum windows with Hardie and cedar siding.
